A Long Weekend in Baltimore
One of the best parts of travel is the chance to connect with friends and meet new people. That’s just what I had the opportunity to do over this past weekend.
Best gal pal, Anita, and I were in Baltimore, Maryland, for a long weekend. We had a chance to do some of my favorite things, as well as discover some new ones.
One afternoon we visited the Aquarium, which is always a favorite thing to do. I’ve written about it after a visit earlier this year. It was fun to share it with someone who hadn’t been before. I loved the sharks and the rays. The turtles were a big hit with Anita.
Dinner one night was at Lebanese Taverna, a favorite DC-area spot of both Anita and myself. You can count on the restaurant for consistently good food in a casual atmosphere. You can read my review of the restaurant here.
We tried a few new places as well, and you can expect some posts on those over the next couple of weeks.
One of the highlights of the weekend, though, was going to the Atlanta Falcons vs. Baltimore Ravens football game on Sunday. The Ravens won the game, which made all the local fans very happy.
The victory was also a big hit with Aaron Brazell, b5media technical guru and blogger. It was great to meet Aaron, and his charming wife, at the game, and to finally put a “real person” image to his writing. I can’t possibly have a conversation with Aaron about anything technical, but talking football put us on common ground. Great to meet you Aaron!
There’s lots to do in the Baltimore area, and it was fun to share it with friends.
