Amelie & I are Both in Paris

by Mary Jo Manzanares on September 7th, 2007

Vacation is a wonderful thing!  Since I couldn’t bring you along, perhaps you can experience Paris vicariously with the video trailer from the movie Amelie (one of my favorite foreign films).

I’m hoping to visit some of the locations where these movie was filmed.

Hope your having a great time Mary Jo! If you get a chance you should grab a bite at the Eiffel Tower’s Level 66. It’s the cheapest of the 3 restaraunts on the tower and the easiest to get into. Normally I think it’s just 2 days ahead for reservations. When I was there it was around Easter time (but this was 9 years ago) and I got right in with no reservation because apparently the French don’t eat out much around the holidays. Anyways, definitely the coolest place I can say I’ve had a meal! Priceless!

    Hi Alex.

I went to the Eiffel Tower today. What a beautiful, sunny and clear day. You could see forever.

I didn’t make reservations, but wasn’t really dressed for fine dining either. Maybe on a return trip I’ll take your advice. I’m sure it’s a gorgeous view at night.
