Carnival of Travelers Shares Food & Beverages
The second edition of The Carnival of Travelers appears today, with the theme Food & Beverage.
How can you go wrong blogging about two subjects near and dear to my heart? Well, other than miss blogging about the theme or have a link that doesn’t work – you can’t!
Here’s what travelers have to say about Food & Beverage:
Wendy presents Chapulines Oaxaca City Mexico posted at Escape From New York, saying, “A big part of the travel experience is sampling local cuisine. In this post I write about a delicacy of southern Mexico, Chapulines or fried grasshoppers.”
Marilyn Terrell presents How Far Would You Travel for a Candy Bar? posted at Intelligent Travel, saying, “Intelligent Travel asks the author of Candyfreak “What’s the farthest you’ve traveled for a candy bar?”"
Sheila Scarborough presents Regional tradition: New England church supper posted at Perceptive Travel Blog, writing about a meal that has never gone out of style.
Jon Rochetti presents So Many Turkeys, So Little Time. posted at The DC Traveler ““ Washington DC travel & tourism information, giving us all a new spin on a classic Thanksgiving choice.
deepus23 presents Interactive Map of Regional Foods: Where is Goetta? posted at TravelShopIndia.com, with a regional flair that I had never thought of.
Steve presents Kao Tom | Boiled Rice | Rice Soup | Thailand Musings posted at Thailand Musings, sharing a classic dish with all of us.
Kristie presents Lithuania - The Food & Drinks posted at Norway - An American In Oslo, an area of the world that I don’t think is typically known for its cuisine.

Andrew Edgington presents Cyprus Villas with Private Pool An Ultimate Luxury posted at Cyprus Informer, saying, “Explore the wonders of Cyprus using this great blog as your guide,” explaining why a villa may give you the best food choices of all.

That concludes this edition of The Carnival of Travelers. Submit your blog article to the next edition, with the theme “Music” using our carnival submission form. The Carnival will be posted on December 7th. Only posts fitting the theme will be published.

Steve, thanks for the Kao Tom recipe! I was recently in Thailand and really enjoyed the traditional breakfast. It is surprising at first, but you really start to love it — the warm, flavorful broth is easy on the stomach in the morning.

Hi Mary Jo,
How do you handle carnival participants who don’t link back to your site even though you are the carnival host?
What percentage of them link back to your site?
Thanks,
Jim
