How to Enjoy a Day at Sea

by Mary Jo Manzanares on May 10th, 2006

A day at sea can be as restful or as busy as you choose.

  • Here’s a sampling of options available today:
  • Food & beverages (many options)
  • Fitness classes
  • Fruit & vegetable carving demonstration
  • Ice carving demonstration
  • Movies (in your cabin or the theater)
  • Bingo
  • High tea
  • Art auction
  • Service club meetings
  • Computer classes
  • Health & wellness classes
  • Shopping
  • Arts & Crafts sessions
  • Musical entertainment (various options)
  • Card room (bridge tournament)
  • Casino

I started my day with a workout, progressed to a food and beverage option, read for awhile, enjoyed a beverage option, took a walk around the ship, browsed the shops, enjoyed another food and beverage option, and then took a nap.  Whew!  Busy day!

Actually, it’s just the right amount of activity vs. rest to be enjoyable.

Tonight it’s dress-up night, and then tomorrow we’ll be in port at Victoria, British Columbia.
