Inside American Airlines: A Week in the Life
Have you always wanted to understand the airline industry?
CNBC goes inside American Airlines for one week, and reports on the side of the business that travelers rarely see, including the flight deck, the control tower, and the boardroom.
The result is presented in “Inside American Airlines, A Week in the Life.” Some things CNBC promises to show include:
The strange science of ticket pricing
Why it’s so tough to cash in those frequent flyer miles
Tense labor-management relationships
How cargo makes a lot of money, yet is dangerous to passengers
How in the post-9/11 world, pilots and flight attendants are trained to defend the flight deck
The show airs Wednesday, October 18th at 9 pm and 12 am ET, with an encore showing on October 22nd, at the same times.
A video clip is available on the CNBC website.
