It’s Not Really Like this for Unaccompanied Minors
“Unaccompanied Minors” is a Christmas movie from last year.
Parents, don’t worry! There is very little in the movie that resembles what it is like for young children to travel alone, what airports and airport personnel are really like, nor what it’s like to be stuck in an airport during a storm.
It goes the cheap laugh, and at time succeeds.
Best to just spend a couple minutes and take a look here, rather than wasting an hour and a half on the entire movie.

I agree - I flew by myself at 11 cross country and had no problems. The flight attendant that walked me from gate to gate even let me stop for a minute at a pay phone to call home as my dad had asked me to. Not necessarily above and beyond but they took care of me!
And shoot, there are a few people in that movie I really like, I might have to actually watch it with the kids :D

Yeah, we really do take care of children traveling alone. And it’s really great to see parents that prepare their kids for the trip, getting them excited about the adventure, and inspiring in them a love of travel at a young age.
Of course, what makes for better Flight Attendant stories are the children who are the terrors of the airplane! While they make up the bulk of our stories, they are actually infrequent.
Glad you had a good experience as a child!
