Make Car Trip Easier With Individual Activity Bins

Here’s a tip from a car trip veteran, mother of three, and friend:

Give each of your kids a small, plastic, storage box to take with them on a car trip.  Let them pack it themselves, with whatever toys and activities they may want to play with in the car:  books, crayons, color books, toys, paper, etc.  Don’t censor their selections.  My only rule of thumb:  if it fits in the box, it can go; if it doesn’t fit, it stays home.  This teaches the kids to plan for their vacation downtime, as well as helping to keep things neat in the car.  And I’m not responsible for “forgetting” one of their precious choices.

Sounds like a good idea for adults as well.
