Pack a Chargepod Instead of Lots of Cables
If you’ve ever left home without the proper charging cable(s), this gadget may be for you.
The Chargepod is a 6-way charging device that will allow you to charge all your devices with one gadget. You no longer need to pack every single cable that you need, nor do you have to worry about finding enough outlets. You can re-charge everything, from one outlet, using this device.
Having been caught without the right charging equipment before, and having stayed in far too many hotel rooms that don’t have adequate outlets, this little gadget caught my eye.
I went to the website and entered in the information to see how much a custom Chargepod. This required specifying which gadgets, and how many of each, that I wanted to recharge. After doing this, you can price out what the custom version would cost. In my case, that came to $79.80 — not an insignificant sum, but not prohibitive either. Beginning units (base station and one adapter cable) start at $49.95.
The Chargepod claims to be compatible with over a thousand mobile devices, headsets, digital cameras, PDA’s, mp3 players and games. It does not support recharging a laptop, only small devices.
Could this solve my problem AND take up less room in my suitcase?
