Fly Away Cafe - Where travel is a way of life

Photo: Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon

Details:  I flew over the Grand Canyon a few days ago, and while my personal photos didn’t turn out very well (shot through the window of the airplane), I found one that did seem to convey the size and grandeur of this natural wonder.

MJ — visited the Grand Canyon a few weeks ago. What a spectacular view from every vantage point. But taking pictures of the Grand Canyon on the ground is just as difficult as from the air — too much to capture at one time. It’s awesome!

We took the kids when they were 10 and 12 years old. At the time the admission to the park was $10.00. I can still remember Britt saying what a waste of money it was. She would have preferred ice cream. I don’t think that she would feel that way now. She’s a lot older and a great deal wiser. The Grand Canyon (in my eyes) was incredible.

    The Grand Canyon is spectacular!

I’ve flown over it many times, but haven’t been there on foot. I’m planning a helicopter tour to the bottom of the canyon for sometime this fall. It’s supposed to be fabulous!
