Fly Away Cafe - Where travel is a way of life

Port of Call: Victoria, British Columbia

by Mary Jo Manzanares on May 11th, 2006

Today is our first, and only, day in port on this short cruise.  We are currently in Victoria, British Columbia (Canada), and I found an Internet Cafe where I can get a good connection.

The connection at sea was spotty, at best, and very expensive.  So, I’ve allowed myself half an hour to check personal email, write a quick post, and respond to some comments.  It is VACATION, after all, and everything else will wait till I get home tomorrow.

Last night was formal night on the ship, and it was great fun to get all dressed up.  I sometimes forget how much time I spend in jeans and casual clothes.  As a group, we cleaned up pretty darned well.  I’ve got lots of pictures and will post those when I get home.  It’s just too bad so many people are so camera shy.

I’m off to see Victoria for the rest of the afternoon, then back to the ship for our last night at sea.
