Samantha Brown Goes to Los Cabos, Mexico

by Mary Jo Manzanares on July 17th, 2008

Tonight, on the Travel Channel’s Samantha Brown:  Passport to Great Weekends, Sam heads to Cabo San Lucas, on the Baja peninsula.

I was recently in Cabo, after an absence of many, many years, and found it much changes.  I didn’t have a lot of time to explore, bur I’m sure after watching Sam’s adventures, I’ll have a bunch of ideas for a future trip.

Here’s an advance peek at what’s in store:

Hi Samantha, Having been to Los Cabos before I know exactly where you were staying in San Jose, right near the Megamart & Golf Course, as our timeshare is just at the other end of the street, Royal Holiday Club. It’s such a fantastic place to shop and buying fresh foods at the markets make having a place with a kitchen indespensable! Sorry I missed your whole show, but you did show some of the most beautiful areas in San Jose on the little web link…you have to also go downtown to the plaza in the evening, as the water/light show with music is very nice. This year we’re actually staying in San Lucas, right on the beach at Terrasol Condo’s, they’re also privately owned places you can rent, try VRBO (Vacation rentals by owner) if you have time & you can see all the beautiful casa’s to rent, if you have a group check it out, as 10 people can rent a whole house with private pool & deck & BBQ for less than it costs for some of the hotels in the area. Of course San Lucas is more of the party zone, but hey, if you plan on trying a private rental again, you can walk down & party on the beach then get back to your place for the evening & enjoy the tranquil sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. It’s one of our most favorite places in the world. Looks like you had a lot of fun too!
    Take care
