“Snakes on a Plane”
This weekend was the opening of the movie “Snakes on a Plane.”
I guess there are probably people somewhere who haven’t heard any of the hype about this release, but I don’t know any of them.
The movie has relied upon an incredible grass roots, word of mouth campaign to build incredible buzz for the movie. I’ve been following the online buzz alone for many, many months. While the movie doesn’t claim to be something its not, the weekend numbers were certainly respectable.
So I’m considering whether or not to spend the money to see it.
Here are the pros:
- I like the actor Samuel Jackson
- My curiosity has been piqued by the extent of the pre-release buzz.
- It doesn’t offend me that the movie makes fun of the airline industry. I can distinguish between a movie, especially a rather quirky one, and real life.
Here are the cons:
- I HATE snakes!
- The movie can’t possibly live up to the pre-release hype.
- I haven’t seen a good movie in a long time, and I’m a bit jaded about the whole thing.
So I’m asking you:
Have you seen it? Would you recommend it? Give me your thoughts about the movie and help me decide whether I should see it or not.
