Spend A Sweet Weekend at the Chocolate Festival
For a weekend that’s as sweet as candy, you’ll want to be at the decadent Ghiradelli Square Chocolate Festival, September 8th & 9th. Now in its 12th year, the festival is a benefit for Project Open Hand.
You can wander through the event at no charge, taking in a variety of chocolate demonstrations and contests. There’s even a ice cream sundae eating contest, with age groups ranging for kids and adults. You can find the schedule of events here.
If you want to taste what all this fuss is about, though, you’ll need a ticket. They are available online, as well as on Beach Street on the day of the event. Why wait in line, though, when you can buy tickets in advance and spend more time tasting?!
Ghiradelli Square is located at Beach and Larkin Streets. The Chocolate Festival will run Saturday and Sunday, noon - 5 pm, which means you can have chocolate for brunch, lunch and/or dinner.
Tickets are $10 for 6 tastings, $20 for 15 tastings. (Any difficulty deciding which option I would choose?) It’s a great way to spend a sweet weekend with your sweetheart.
