Take the Poll: How will the Rising cost of Air Travel Impact Your Summer Travel Plans?

by Mary Jo Manzanares on June 5th, 2008

check mark With all the talk about rising fuel costs, charges for second bags, charges for checking any bag at all, and all sorts of other airline fees, there’s an equal amount of talk about the impact all of this will have on those of us who plan to travel this summer.

So I’m asking you —

How will the rising cost of air travel impact your summer travel plans?

As for me, I usually don’t travel much during the summer.  Seattle is a great place to be during this time of year, so I rarely go away for any length of time.  I may take some short trips, but it’s more to focus on what a great part of the country that I live in.

You can vote in the poll in my sidebar at the right, and feel free to sound off in the comments as well.

Yeah i agree. Staying put in seattle or in my case california during the summer is nice, it’s bright until 8:30pm and dining al fresco is the same everywhere :). Athough sometimes i like to go to beaches which is one thing that does require a flight. One other thing about fuel charges, people should really shop from their local farmer’s market - that way they can support the farmers and reduce consumption of say tomatoes from holland.
