The Flyaway Cafe Blog Roll
I just haven’t made time to put together my blog roll and get it post. It’s not that I’m lacking great sites that I can share with you, it’s been more of a problem with where to start. That, and the constant balancing of travel, blogging, and life.
Like any project, especially one that’s been difficult to conquer, you just have start at the beginning, taking it one step at a time until you complete the project.
So that’s what I’m doing.
I’m starting at the beginning of my blog roll. And I’ll take it one step at a time, adding on a few links here and there, sharing with you some of my favorite travel bloggers, along with WHY they are among my favorites.
Here’s a random five to start off the list:
The Elliott Blog - You may know Chris Elliott as National Geographic Traveler’s ombudsman or from his articles on Tripso. He’s writes extensively about the travel industry, and while I don’t always agree with him, I always want to hear what he says to say. I think you will do.
Gadling - Calling itself the traveler’s weblog, Gadling has great bits and pieces of easily readable and understandable information. They’re great at telling you just what you need to know, without boring you to tears. The comment methodology is annoying, but everyone hates SPAM, so try to be sympathetic.
Gridskipper - The urban travel guide, irreverently covering chic hotels, hot restaurants, sweet nightlife, and pretty people.
My Marrakesh - Life, love, family, and great photography about this exotic city.
The Airline Hub - Rob does his best to keep us updated about the comings, goings, and happenings in the airline industry.
That’s a good start for now. I’ll try to keep adding a few every week or so. It’s a pretty big project, by hopefully, one that will never be finished!

Mary Jo, Thank you so very much for adding me to your blogroll, esp along the likes of Gridskipper. Eeek, I am flattered. I am linking your blog, too!
