Travel Jargon
Every business and industry has its own special language. Sometimes it’s full of acronymns, other times just jargon.
USA Today takes a humorous look at the jargon of travel. My favorite:
Yield management n. a sophisticated technological mechanism used by airlines and other travel companies to determine fair pricing; also known as dart board
Some of it may just hit a little too close to home to be funny, though.
