Travel Product: Cocoon CoolMax Blanket
I’m one of those people who think the airplane is always too chilly.
On overnight flights across country or to Europe it’s usually hard to get a comfortable temperature. And coming from a warm climate back to chilly Seattle is always difficult.
I NEVER use the blankets on the airplane. I know that they swear they clean them regularly, but I’m just not very trusting.
Keeping a coat on is usually too bulky and uncomfortable. Keeping a light weight sweater on is fine, but as the temperature in the cabin changes, I often have to wiggle in and out of the sweater. (Sorry people sitting next to me!)
The option I’m considering for my next trip is the lightweight Cocoon CoolMax blanket.
I’ve seen these on the airplane for some time now, and the people I’ve talked with seem to swear by them.
The blanket is a generous size (70″ x 56″), so there’s plenty to wrap around you. The moisture-wicking fabric has a lightweight, silky-like feel, but a passenger told me that it was a cozy as being her flannel pajamas.
I seems to fold up rather small in size, and could easily be tucked into a carry on. It would also be great for a car trip — or perhaps to just keep in the car for any emergency situation.
This is going going on my “wish list.”
