When a Travel Blogger Travels
What does a travel blogger do when they are planning their travels? Check with other travel bloggers, of course!
When I was making plans for Chicago, I checked in with Matt at the Chicago Traveler for ideas and tips about things to do. Jon at The DC Traveler has often been a resource for my frequent trips to our nation’s capitol.
And now, FINALLY, a trip to Paris looms, and I’ll be reading and consulting with Lynn at The Paris Traveler for ideas and suggestions to make my first visit a memorable one. It’s a belated birthday trip, and will only be for a few days, so I’m counting on Lynn to provide me with information to make the most of it.
As I’m looking at the list of destinations that we’ll be adding to the Travel & Culture Channel, I can help but hope that I’ll be needing information from those bloggers VERY SOON!. (We’re currently looking for bloggers for Rome, London and Sydney. If interested, submit an application here.)

That is certainly a nice birthday gift for yourself. You’ll definitely love it in Paris! Hope you get to meet Lynn as well.

Hi Melissa, I had hoped on meeting Mary Jo earlier this year, but unfortunately her plans to Paris had changed. Once again, ufortunately, we will not cross paths.
In all my years, July and August have always been the time to get out and travel to other countries, or spend time at the beach. I’m sure we’ll eventually meet up sometime!

A fun thing to do in Paris is to go to Jim’s Dinner Club. Jim’s been hosting these parties in his home on Sunday nights for the past 30 years, and you can count on having good food and meeting lots of interesting people:
