Yoga for the Road: Getting in a Workout When Traveling
I enjoy yoga. I find it peaceful and deliberate, while strenthening my core and toning muscles. It is deceptively easy looking, but can still deliver a quality workout. It also something that is easy to do when you travel, requiring no special equipment to take up precious packing room in your luggage.
Because I can sometimes be a creature of habit, I tend to do the same yoga routine over and over. It works for me, but I know that getting stuck in a rut is not a good thing, as boredom with the routine sometimes gets in the way of actually doing the routine.
A friend passed along information about Yoga Today, a site where each day you can download a new one-hour yoga routine. Best of all — it’s FREE!
There’s a media downloand and a low-res version iTunes version, and after a few steps you’ll be on your way.
I’d love a nice yoga work out right now, but unfortunately am traveling and relying on public computers, so no downloads. When I get home and am reunited with my laptop, I think I’ll download a few workouts. It would be nice to have some variety when I’m on the road.
